About project

WeekMenu – non commercial startup of Educational Center of HTP. The main goal was to create an application which will help Belarusian families to plan and organize varied diet. This app should help to decrease time spent for preparing and processing products, making shopping list and also saving family budget when buying only the most necessary products.

Project challenges
Project idea
Create a convenient app for Android, make it as easy as possible for the user to plan meals, reduce time costs and save the family budget, while enjoying a variety of menus and detailed recipes. The app should be intuitive and easy to use.

Highlights
Discovery
At the research stage, persons were worked out and the target audience was interviewed using questionnaires and calls. The analysis of competitors in the Belarusian market was carried out. The maps of user interaction with the product (CJM) have been worked out in detail.
Define
At this stage, we worked out the User flow with low-detailed wireframes for each feature.
We made a mood board to understand how the application should look visually.
Than we made a prototype of the app to test it on potential users.

Develop
At this stage of work on the project I developed a logo. We have developed a design concept and than made final mockups of the application for Android.
Challenges
During the work at the wireframe stage, there were controversial issues with the customer. To resolve such issues, we conducted a survey and user testing with a prototype.
Solution
Thanks to the insights gained during the research phase, survey of potential users and testing with a prototype, we were able to make proposals with minimal changes. And giving well-reasoned arguments convinced the customer to make the right decisions in controversial issues.
